Objective:
This three-month program teaches you how to maintain business accounts on the computer using Tally Prime, the most widely used accounting software in India. You will learn the basics of accounting, including journal entries, ledgers, and trial balance. You will then learn Tally Prime in practice, including company creation, ledger and group creation, accounting and inventory vouchers, stock items and godown management, bank reconciliation, and generating balance sheet, profit and loss, and other financial reports. The course also covers GST (Goods and Services Tax) accounting, GST invoices and returns, TDS basics, and data backup and security. With regular practice on real business accounting problems and a small final project in which you maintain a complete set of books for a business, you build the skills to start as an accounts assistant, Tally operator, GST executive, or billing executive, work in shops, business firms, and accounting offices, start your own accounting and GST filing services, or move on to advanced courses such as Diploma in Advanced Financial Accounts, Diploma in Computer Professional Accountant (DCPA), and Advanced Tally with GST.
