This six-month program teaches you how to manufacture plastic products using industrial processes, machines, and quality control methods. You will learn the basics of plastics, types of polymers (PP, HDPE, LDPE, PVC, PET, and ABS), raw materials, additives, colour masterbatch, and the properties and uses of plastic materials. The course also covers plastic recycling and reprocessing, quality control and testing, defects and troubleshooting, machine maintenance, workshop safety, and basics of costing and starting a small plastic manufacturing unit. With regular hands-on practice in the workshop and a live final project, such as producing a plastic product from raw material to finished item, you build the skills to start as a machine operator, moulding technician, production supervisor, or quality assistant, work in plastic factories, packaging units, and manufacturing industries, start your own small-scale plastic products unit, or move on to advanced courses such as Diploma in Plastic Technology, Tool and Die Making, and Plastic Mould Design.
