Objective:
This six-month program teaches you the combined skills of desktop publishing and computerized accounting for office, printing, and business work. You will learn computer and typing basics, Hindi and English typing, MS Word, and MS Excel. You will then learn desktop publishing with CorelDRAW for logos, visiting cards, and brochures, Adobe Photoshop for photo editing and designing, Adobe PageMaker or InDesign for page layout, and print and prepress basics, including PDF creation. The accounting modules cover the fundamentals of accounting, journal entries, ledgers, and final accounts, followed by computerized accounting with Tally Prime, including company creation, vouchers, inventory management, GST (Goods and Services Tax) accounting and returns, TDS, and financial reports. With regular hands-on practice in the computer lab and a live final project, such as designing a business brochure and maintaining a complete set of books for a business, you build the skills to start as a DTP operator, accounts assistant, data entry operator, or office executive, work in printing presses, shops, and accounting offices, start your own DTP, printing, and accounting services centre, or move on to advanced courses such as Graphic Designing, Advanced Tally with GST, and Diploma in Information Technology.
